INYFW 2025

My collection is a series of garments inspired by the different everyday worn items of revolutionary periods. It represents the overlapping histories and present of using fashion, clothing and symbols to reflect and comment on oppressive systems and governments.

Every model wore a corn husk face covering that represents a multitude of reasons. Protecting one’s identity. Being able to see yourself in the garments. Corn Husk dolls are made faceless so that the child playing with them can reflect their own personality and story onto them. I created a mask to embody this tradition so everyone can see themselves within these pieces
